Light-absorbing: 3D-LaserEngraving technology and ERO structures

28.11.2025 von Petra Engstle / Reading time: approx. 2 minutes

KRÜTH uses all-digital 3D-LaserEngraving technology to integrate the fine ERO structures directly into tool surfaces. This process offers decisive advantages over conventional methods. For one thing, it is generally more economical than comparable technologies. In addition, the time-consuming and cost-intensive retooling or masking of tools during the production process is no longer necessary. This means that even smaller, surrounding areas with ERO structures can be processed directly in a continuous operation together with the other 3D-LaserEngravings.

Another technical advantage is the visual properties: The laser-engraved fine structure absorbs light and therefore appears very matt but can be set to a higher gloss. The gloss level measured remains within the target range, meets the required specifications and contributes to high production quality.
