There is an effective solution to visual limitations caused by reflections: LimitedReflection-engravings.

We often surround ourselves with reflective surfaces. The readability of the information behind these surfaces decreases rapidly to the point of invisibility when light falls on them. Something that is acceptable on a mobile phone becomes a real problem on a vehicle display. The solution is called Anti-Glare and is practically integrated into the tool surface. This helpful effect is based on structural interactions similar to the principle of frosted glass. The surfaces can be patterned in the conventional way or also in the Variotherm process; preferred is PMMA. Other materials such as PC-ABS are also feasible depending on the component. An added bonus is the effect of PMMA's high scratch resistance. For all reflective surfaces, Limited-Reflection-Engravings have an anti-reflective and semi-transparent effect. The challenge is to find the right balance for a product in its application. In order to be able to apply Limited-Reflection-Engravings in the best possible way, we need tools with a continuous, homogeneous steel structure and a hardness between 48-50 HRC (for example 1.2343 ESU hardened). The surface must be polished according to A-1 SPI finish.

Better ergonomics and better safety are just two of the many aspects for which KRÜTH has developed Limited-Reflection.
