Engravings require special attention in the area of flattenings in the tool. This requires the 256 greyscales on which every 3D-LaserEngraving is based. This greyscale file is flattened in fine steps in the required areas in the texture mapping process to achieve the desired depth to the draft angle. In the areas of flattening, the engraving is still very detailed and the human eye perceives the part as a harmonious overall surface.

This means that there is no barrier to using very deep engravings on the main visible surface in combination with the required flattening.
